The Other Films Released in 1966

The Appaloosa

Marlon Brando wants his horse back.

Arabesque

Gregory Peck & Sophia Loren in a Stanley Donen picture that was very similar to his earlier film “Charade” with Cary Grant & Audrey Hepburn.

Batman

The Adam West TV show made feature length with all the classic villains.

Billy the Kid versus Dracula

Vampires and Cowboys directed by William “One-Shot” Beaudine.

Cul-de-Sac

Dark and atmospheric character piece from young Roman Polanski. Donald Pleasance is very good in this.

Dracula: Prince of Darkness

Hammer horror with Christopher Lee as Dracula. He was a whole lot better than John Carradine in the Billy the Kid movie.

El Dorado

Wonderful John Wayne vehicle with Robert Mitchum and a young James Caan added to the mix.

Fahrenheit 451

Read more books.

Fantastic Voyage

Good special effects in this sci-fi film featuring Raquel Welch.

Funeral in Berlin

Michael Caine in his second film as British agent Harry Palmer.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum

Great musical comedy. Zero Mostel was very entertaining and it was a treat to see Buster Keaton.

The Ghost and Mr. Chicken

I loved this movie when I was a kid. Don Knotts rocks!

Manos – The Hands of Fate

Was this the worst film ever made? Some say so. It was pretty bad.

One Million Years B.C.

Raquel Welch again in an entertaining Ray Harryhausen dinosaur movie.

Our Man Flint

James Coburn’s super spy.

The Quiller Memorandum

Suspenseful spy thriller with George Segal. Alec Guinness was great in this.

Seconds

Fascinating bit of sci-fi horror.

Torn Curtain

Paul Newman & Julie Andrews in a Hitchcock thriller.

What’s Up, Tiger Lily?

Woody Allen re-imagines a Japanese spy movie.

The Wild Angels

Groovy Roger Corman biker movie.
